We're looking for a passionate
Assistant Venue Manager to help launch our very first Tasmanian venue. Supporting the Venue Manager, you'll play a key role in bringing to life the positive energy, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and building a high performing team that will help make Yo-Chi Hobart the destination everyone is talking about!

About the Role:
Working alongside the Venue Leader, you'll lead shifts, coach and develop the team, and help bring to life the fun, welcoming atmosphere we're known for. You'll play an important role in keeping the venue running smoothly while delivering exceptional guest experiences every day.
This is a hands on leadership opportunity where you'll help drive venue performance across sales, labour, costs, and operational standards while keeping energy high and the team engaged. What you'll be doing
- Lead from the front – deliver outstanding guest experiences and support the team every shift.
- Coach and develop – provide ongoing training, feedback, and support to help your team grow.
- Support venue performance – assist in managing labour, COGS, sales, and key performance targets.
- Keep operations running smoothly – support rostering, stock management, ordering, cash handling, and daily administration.
- Champion operational excellence – maintain exceptional standards across guest experience, product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Build an incredible culture – help create a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team that SHARES THE CHI!
- Lead with accountability – support training completion, operational execution, and day-to-day venue success.

What we're looking for
- Previous leadership experience within hospitality, retail, or QSR environments.
- Experience leading shifts and supporting, coaching, and developing team members.
- A strong understanding of guest service, operational standards, and team leadership.
- Confidence supporting labour management, stock control, and day-to-day venue operations.
- Availability across a flexible Monday to Sunday rotating roster.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and hungry to grow.
- Passionate about people, culture, and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Embrace a Positive CHI attitude and bring a FUN energy to the team.
The exciting part... To set you up for success ahead of the Hobart opening, this role will require approximately
4 weeks of paid training in Melbourne, VIC prior to launch. Travel and accommodation support will be provided.
