We are a Melbourne-based finance and mortgage broking company providing lending solutions for individuals, families, investors and business clients.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for motivated and reliable team members to join us as a Mortgage Broker or Business Development Manager. This role is suitable for candidates with experience in finance, lending, real estate, sales, customer service, accounting, administration, or business development.
Industry experience is preferred but not essential. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
About the Roles
Mortgage Broker
As a Mortgage Broker, you will assist clients throughout the lending process, from understanding their needs to preparing loan applications and liaising with lenders.
Key responsibilities include:
* Understanding clients’ financial situations, lending needs and objectives
* Assisting clients with home loans, refinancing, investment loans and business lending enquiries
* Comparing suitable lending options from different lenders
* Preparing and submitting loan applications
* Collecting and reviewing supporting documents
* Liaising with banks, lenders, clients and other relevant parties
* Following up on loan progress, approvals and settlement
* Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance requirements are met
* Building long-term relationships with clients and referral partners
Business Development Manager
As a BDM, you will focus on building business relationships, generating opportunities and supporting the company’s growth.
Key responsibilities include:
* Identifying and developing new business opportunities
* Building and maintaining relationships with referral partners, clients and professional networks
* Following up on leads and potential partnership opportunities
* Supporting marketing and client engagement activities
* Representing the company professionally in meetings, networking events and business discussions
* Understanding market trends and client needs
* Working closely with the broker and operations team to convert opportunities into successful outcomes
* Maintaining strong communication and follow-up with clients and business partners
We are looking for someone who is:
* Reliable, proactive and willing to learn
* Confident communicating with clients and business partners
* Organised, detail-oriented and able to follow through on tasks
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced and client-facing environment
* Able to build trust and maintain professional relationships
* Interested in the finance, lending or property industry
* Fluent in English; Mandarin or another language is highly regarded
* Previous experience in finance, mortgage broking, real estate, sales, customer service, accounting or administration is highly regarded
Qualifications and Experience
* Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking
* Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management
* Previous experience in mortgage broking, lending, banking, real estate, sales or business development
* Knowledge of Australian lending products and bank policies
* Existing referral network or client base
Candidates without mortgage broking experience may still be considered if they have strong communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
