About the role
The Senior Manager – Remote Services is a senior clinical leadership position in the Clinical Services Division providing clinical and operational leadership to all Congress managed remote clinics and the Digital After Hours Program. The position provides strategic and administrative support to the General Manager Clinical Services and the Medical Director and has a key role in the development of clinical policies and procedures.
An inherent requirement of the position is travel to and provide support to Congress managed remote clinics.
The successful person for this role will have:

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Aboriginal Health Practitioner with significant experience in a senior management role coupled with experience in leading remote clinical services

Knowledge of Aboriginal health issues and Government health policies applying to Aboriginal health and primary health care

Substantial knowledge and experience of primary health care and the delivery of services in accordance with comprehensive Primary Health Care principles, including an understanding of adapting clinical services to population need.

A high level of oral and written communication skills, problem-solving skills and proven ability to manage workplace conflicts.

Excellent time management and administration skills

The ability to work in a community-controlled environment, a broad understanding and respect of the cultural practices and belief systems of the Central Australian Aboriginal community and a willingness to adapt clinical practice to ensure good client outcomes

A willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to live and work in remote locations.

A current manual NT Drivers Licence (or have the ability to obtain) and ability or willingness to learn to safely drive a large 4WD vehicle on unsealed roads.
