Graduate Engineer – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
We are an Australian pharmaceutical manufacturer seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our team at our facility in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs.
Arthropharm is licensed by the TGA and APVMA for the manufacture and testing of non-sterile and sterile medicines. We are seeking an early-career engineer looking to establish a strong foundation in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The role is perfect for a highly motivated individual who has recently completed their degree or is within the first 1-2 years of their engineering career. Full training will be provided for the right applicant who is willing to learn and engage with the requirements and complexities of GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing.
You will begin working as an engineer in Production gaining a fundamental understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and hands-on experience with our equipment and processes.
Over time, you will expand into the areas of Validation and Quality Assurance (QA). You will learn to qualify and validate manufacturing equipment and processes according to the rigorous compliance standards that keep our products safe and effective. You will gain experience in quality management, including change management, deviation investigations, risk management, root cause analysis, and corrective & preventative actions.
The ideal applicants will have the following qualifications/skills:
- Honours Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or a closely related discipline).
- Strong competence in Microsoft Office software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for learning new skills and concepts.
- Ability to work autonomously and closely with others in a small company environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability for problem-solving.
- Ability to follow written procedures.
- Meticulous and attentive to detail.
The following are advantageous, but not mandatory:
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing/GMP experience.
- Programming and computer systems experience (eg. Python, VBA, or other).
- Automation experience (eg. PLC).
- Risk management experience.
This is a permanent, full-time position located in our facility in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, which is close to public transport. This is a strictly on-site position, and working from home is not available.
