The Brown and Hurley Group are growing fast and want you to be part of our team at our Brisbane Port branch. You will maintain the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of predominantly Kenworth and DAF trucks through expert electrical diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and quality repair work, ensuring vehicles remain compliant and available for transport operations.
What you'll be doing:
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and electronic systems on heavy vehicles, with a primary focus on Kenworth and DAF trucks.
- Conduct advanced fault-finding using diagnostic software, test equipment, and manufacturer service information.
- Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance on truck electrical systems.
- Conduct battery testing and charging system checks.
- Identify and rectify electrical issues before they result in breakdowns.
- Support vehicle servicing programs through routine electrical inspections.
- Complete job cards, maintenance reports, inspection checklists, and service documentation accurately.
- Record labour, parts usage, and repair details in maintenance management systems.
- Pre-delivery installation and preparation
- Provide exceptional and professional customer service
About you:
- Automotive electrical qualification
- Works safely, team player, excellent communicator and problem-solver
- Car licence
- HR and forklift licence (desirable)
- Kenworth or DAF experience (desirable)
- Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
- We also welcome second to fourth year mechanic apprentices and overseas and interstate truck mechanics.
