South Western Sydney Local Health District is interested in recruiting for a Senior Social Worker who is hardworking, enthusiastic and passionate about working in the inpatient mental health setting.
The Senior Social Worker will be responsible for providing a wide range of social work interventions including a leadership role working closely with the Social Work Team Leader and the Social Work Head of Department.
There is also a wide range of professional and learning opportunities within this role along with the support of the dynamic and well-established social work team who aspires to provide the highest standard of social work service to the consumers within the inpatient mental health units in SWSLHD.
This position is part of a larger Social Work Department within the inpatient mental health service operating across Liverpool, Campbelltown, and Bankstown Hospitals. We are open to job share arrangements for candidates seeking part-timework, provided service delivery needs are met.

Are You the Right Fit?
The ideal candidate will need to possess advance knowledge and consultation to the other social work colleagues regarding various social work interventions and generally, a high levels of clinical expertise and specialised knowledge in order to provide a high-quality Social Work care to families, carers and consumers of the mental health service.
They are expected to provide high-quality psychosocial assessments and interventions to consumers receiving mental health treatment in hospital. They will play a vital part in supporting patients through their recovery journey, including discharge planning and connecting them with community supports.
As a senior member of the team, you’ll collaborate with fellow social workers and the broader multidisciplinary team, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and provide clinical supervision to junior staff
