The Attorney-General's Department is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to lead the design, configuration, development and maintenance of ServiceNow business applications and platform components.
The successful candidate will work closely with technology and business stakeholders and external vendors to analyse, build and deliver ServiceNow solutions aligned with best practices and organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development and configuration of ServiceNow modules and components including scalable workflows, business rules, client scripts, ACLs and UI.

Integrate ServiceNow with other systems using APIs and web services, including integrations not available via Integration Hub.

Support testing, release management, and production stability activities.

Collaborate on solution design aligned with enterprise standards and architectural principles to deliver stable, secure and scalable applications.

Participate in workshops to identify platform improvements and optimisation opportunities.

Contribute to iterative delivery practices and conduct code reviews to promote modern, secure development standards.

Mentor a team of technical specialists to uplift ServiceNow maturity across the IT Division.

The Department is in the early stages of building up its in-house ServiceNow application development capabilities. This role presents an opportunity to guide technical best practices and development standards for the ServiceNow platform in the Department from the ground up.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and skills:

Proven experience developing and configuring enterprise-scale applications in ServiceNow.

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (essential) and Implementation Specialist (desirable).

Experience in PSDS, HRSD and CSM.

Strong knowledge of workflow automation and advanced scripting (including JavaScript and Glide API).

Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub and API integrations (REST/SOAP).
-
The ability to build collective capability through knowledge sharing, continuous learning and staying informed on current ServiceNow capabilities and best practices.

Experience working in Government or large enterprise environments.
