Head Chef – Café
Location: Sunshine Coast, QLD

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 + superannuation, depending on experience
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to join our café team on the Sunshine Coast.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a chef who enjoys working in a busy café environment and takes pride in quality food, consistency and leading a team.
About the Role
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the day-to-day kitchen operation, including:
- Leading and managing the kitchen team
- Preparing and cooking high-quality café food
- Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation
- Developing and updating menus and specials
- Managing food preparation and kitchen organisation
- Ordering stock and managing supplier relationships
- Monitoring food costs, wastage and portion control
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
- Training and mentoring kitchen staff
- Managing kitchen rosters and ensuring appropriate staffing levels
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
- Working closely with management to improve kitchen operations and profitability
