About Us
Shop for Shops (WMFG Pty Ltd) is an established Australian B2B retail fixtures and shopfitting supplier, operating nationally across NSW, VIC, WA and QLD. MAXe is our flagship modular gondola shelving and display system, and Revit is central to how we design it into client spaces, produce manufacturing drawings, and deliver projects end to end.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Revit specialist to take our MAXe design and documentation capability across the line. This role picks up and extends a well-progressed body of work: a substantially built parts library, a CAD operating manual, and an established QC and training process. The successful candidate will complete that foundation, then push our rendering, visualisation and AI-assisted workflow capability well beyond where it is today — feeding directly into a new MAXe marketing website and a stronger customer-facing sales environment.
This is a broader and more senior remit than a standard CAD/drafting contract. We need genuine Revit expertise, a design/communications sensibility for rendering output, and comfort documenting process and training others — not just producing work individually.
Scope of Work
1. Parts Library & SOP Completion
- Complete outstanding MAXe parts to existing QC standard, building on the current QC checklist and priority tiers (P1/P2/P3)
- Finalise the CAD Operating Manual as a durable, standalone reference not dependent on any one individual
- Maintain and govern the standardised file and naming structure across the part library
- Ensure the training pathway already piloted across branches is repeatable — a new starter should be able to reach MAXe-layout competency from the materials in place
2. Rendering & Visualisation
- Elevate render quality — photorealistic, brand-accurate finishes — for sales and marketing use
- Explore interactive/configurable renders (e.g. a customer-facing "build your own layout" style tool)
- Support the new MAXe marketing website with visualisation assets and technical input
3. AI-Accelerated Workflow
- Bring practical, current knowledge of how AI tools intersect with Revit workflows — family generation, rendering pipelines, documentation, QA — to speed up delivery and improve consistency across the above
Expected Outcomes
These build on the diagnose–design–pilot–implement–recommend approach already under way, with the following outcomes targeted:
Deliverable
- Documented CAD Operating Manual
- Standardised file and naming structures
- Structured and governed part library
- Defined quality control process
- Reduced drawing turnaround time
- Improved BOM accuracy
- Photorealistic, brand-accurate rendering capability, including exploration of interactive/configurable renders
- Practical integration of AI tools into Revit workflows
- Visualisation assets and technical input supporting the MAXe marketing website
- Clear recommendation for future structure of the CAD/design function
What We Need From You
- Strong, hands-on Revit expertise, ideally including family/parts library construction — not just drafting
- Rendering and visualisation experience beyond stock Revit output, with real design/communications sensibility
- Comfort documenting process and training others, not just doing the work yourself
- Current, practical familiarity with AI tools relevant to CAD and rendering workflows
- Available to work on-site/locally (not remote), given the collaborative, training-heavy nature of the role
