RESPONSIBILITIES
This role requires someone who thinks laterally, maximising productivity and minimising downtime. You must have the ability to make fast and effective decisions and implement action. Customer and interdepartmental communication and collaboration are key parts of this role, therefore a team player is a must.
Your day to day responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Utilise “Open Solar” to create layouts for residential and commercial solar projects within Australian regulations and agreed time frames.
- Learn Australian regulations and electrical standards together with Panels, Inverters, batteries and other SEA products installation guidelines.
- Action net-metering and PTC applications in a timely manner and respond to distributors.
- Trouble shoot issues arising from residential jobs and come up with the most viable solution.
- Liaise and explain any design/layout changes to customers detailing the need for change and benefits so that the customer is fully aware of any change in the system that is being installed.
- Have open and constructive communication with the sales team and keep them informed of the process/changes.
- Create picking list accurately as per the job and update all the relevant information in Simpro
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years’ as a designer in the solar energy space
- Degree in Electrical/Solar PV Engineering or Technical degree
- Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Office and CRMs (Hubspot and Simpro preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised self-starter with a strong desire for success
- Great Attention to detail and high organisational skills
- Open to learning and ability to lean fast
