Expressions of Interest: ACT and Region Catchment Management Coordination Group
The ACT and Region Catchment Management Coordination Group (the Coordination Group) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for appointment as a member of the Group, with the opportunity to be considered for appointment as Chair.
The Coordination Group is a statutory advisory body established under the Water Resources Act 2007 (ACT). Its primary function is to provide strategic advice to the Minister responsible for water resources and the Office of Water (through the Director-General, ACT City and Environment Directorate) on water resource and catchment management matters affecting the ACT region.
About the Appointment
Members of the Coordination Group contribute their expertise, professional judgement and leadership to support informed decision-making on water resource and catchment management issues across the ACT region.
The successful applicant may also be considered for appointment as Chair of the Coordination Group, subject to the relevant appointment process. Applicants should therefore demonstrate strong leadership and governance capability, together with proven stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills. Experience building consensus and fostering productive collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups will be highly regarded.

Appointments will be made for a term of three (3) years, commencing on the day following notification of appointment.

Remuneration
The successful applicant will be remunerated in accordance with section 10 of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1995 and the applicable Remuneration Tribunal determination.
Where the successful applicant is employed in the ACT Public Service or another public sector jurisdiction, remuneration may not be payable in accordance with section 67J of the Water Resources Act 2007.

The cover letter should outline the applicant's relevant skills, knowledge and experience and demonstrate their suitability for appointment against the Position Description. The cover letter must not exceed two (2) A4 pages.

Where an offer of employment is for a fixed-term period, any related temporary contracts within the Territory will be issued in compliance with the requirements and applicable exceptions outlined in the Fair Work Act.
