We are seeking a motivated and professional Orthodontic Assistant & Treatment Coordinator to join our busy, patient-focused orthodontic practice. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative clinical team.
Position Details
- Part-time: 1- 3 days per week
- Working hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm, Tuesday to Thursday
- Locations: Camden and Narellan practices
- No weekend work required
About the Role
You will work closely with our orthodontists, dental specialists, and oral health therapists to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing efficient chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures
- Preparing and sterilising instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Managing patient flow and ensuring a positive patient experience
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate clinical diaries
- Handling phone and email enquiries in a professional manner
- Coordinating patient treatment plans and follow-up care
- Conducting patient consultations and discussing treatment options
- Taking clinical records, including dental photography and intraoral scans
- Maintaining accurate patient records and administrative documentation
- Coordinating laboratory work and basic appliance fabrication
- Supporting practice growth through patient engagement and treatment uptake
- Delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term patient relationships
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience as a Dental or Orthodontic Assistant (orthodontic experience highly regarded)
- Experience in treatment coordination or sales (preferred)
- Strong understanding of infection control and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional, well-presented, and patient-focused approach
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Initiative, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and within a team
- A positive attitude and commitment to high-quality patient care
- Proficiency in dental software systems (desirable)
- A current driver’s licence and reliable transport
