About the role
Balderson Group is seeking skilled Heavy Diesel Fitters, Drill Fitters, and Auto Electricians to join us in our field service/on-site support team and Perth metro team. This is a full-time role, offering the opportunity to work for a leading provider of skilled mechanical personnel to the surface and underground mining industry.
What you'll be doing
- Perform maintenance and repair work on a variety of heavy machinery and equipment used in the mining industry
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance schedules
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure timely completion of work
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed
- Reporting back to senior staff
What we're looking for
- Qualified Heavy Diesel Fitters, Drill Fitters, or Auto Electricians with at least 12 months experience in a similar role
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to operate self sufficiently and have high organisational skills
- Ability to work rostered day and night arrangements
- Current driver's licence and willingness to work in a mining environment
- Western Australia resident, eastern state residents will be considered
