Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items across hot and cold kitchen sections in accordance with recipes and service standards
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, of high quality, and handled in line with food safety and stock rotation procedures (FIFO)
- Perform food preparation tasks including washing, chopping, peeling, measuring, and assembling ingredients
- Monitor and regulate cooking equipment (ovens, grills, etc.) to maintain consistency and safe cooking temperatures
- Season, cook, and finish dishes to meet required flavour profiles and presentation standards
- Portion and plate dishes attractively, ensuring consistency in presentation during service
- Store food appropriately in temperature-controlled environments in compliance with food safety standards
- Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary requirements while maintaining strict cross-contamination controls
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and WHS compliance at all times
- Set up and clean kitchen stations before, during, and after service
Skills & Requirements:
- Experience in relevant roles is highly preferred (however, we are willing to train from scratch if you have the can-do right attitude)
- Certificate III in Kitchen Management (or equivalent) - PREFERRED
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role - PREFERRED but not Essential
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation and presentation
