At The Rehab Bar, we help people get back to doing what they love. We are an allied health clinic built on evidence-based exercise physiology and genuine patient-centred care, supporting clients across DVA, Medicare, NDIS, Aged Care and private health. We believe rehab works best in a quieter clinic environment rather than a commercial gym — and that's exactly what we offer: a fully-equipped clinic with high-quality gym equipment. We are growing, and we are looking for an AEP who shares that belief. New graduates encouraged to apply.
About the role
You'll manage your own caseload across a varied and rewarding mix of presentations, designing and progressing individualised, evidence-based programs that fit each client's goals, abilities and the activities they love. You'll run group programs, build genuine relationships with the people you work with, and have proper time to do the job well — backed by a supportive team. Quality assessment tools are here to guide your clinical reasoning, never to replace it.
In a typical week you’ll see around 8-10 clients per day, with admin and reception support handled by our team so you can focus on clinical work. The caseload spans individual consults, group classes, and telehealth — with no pressure to rush appointments or hit referral targets.
What you'll do
- Get to know your clients and tailor their rehab to the goals and activities that matter to them.
- Design, deliver and progress individualised, evidence-based exercise programs.
- Conduct thorough assessments and use the findings to guide your clinical decisions.
- Run group programs and deliver telehealth where appropriate.
- Produce timely, high-quality documentation across funding streams.
About you — essential
- Bachelor or Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (or equivalent).
- Current ESSA accreditation as an AEP.
- Warm, clear communicator with strong written skills.
- Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage a varied caseload.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- NDIS Worker Screening, police check, WWCC, First Aid/CPR and driver's licence (or willingness to obtain).
About you — desirable
- Comfortable using objective assessment tools (e.g. VALD) to support clinical reasoning.
- Background in falls prevention, complex pain or MSK.
- Familiarity with DVA, Medicare, NDIS and Aged Care workflows.
What we offer
- $75,000 – $90,000 + super (depending on experience), above the Health Professionals and Support Services Award.
- A supportive, patient-centred clinic with the time and tools to do great rehab.
- Work-from-home / telehealth flexibility.
- Dedicated CPD budget and paid study leave to pursue the clinical areas that interest you most.
- Weekly case review and a team culture built on shared knowledge, not hierarchy.
- The lifestyle advantages of Rockhampton — great sporting community, affordable housing, short commutes, and easy access to the Capricorn Coast.
