Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a friendly and reliable Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience handling Lotto and Tobacco products, a strong work ethic, and be available across the week, including weekends and public holidays as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Operate Lotto terminals and handle tobacco transactions confidently
- Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately
- Restock shelves and maintain store presentation
- Ensure compliance with age-restricted sales laws
- Follow all store policies and procedures
- Open and close the store as required
Requirements:
- Experience with Lotto and Tobacco sales (essential)
- Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
- Reliable transport to and from the store
- Punctual and dependable with a positive attitude
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a small team environment
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $24.95 – $43.35 per hour
