Looking for a Medical Administrator working at GEO Healthcare Head Office.
Full Time position located in Melbourne CBD with a Salary of $110,000.00 + Super.
About the role
The Medical Administrator is responsible for providing high-level administrative and operational support to ensure the efficient, professional and patient-focused running of the GEO Healthcare Medical Services division. Reporting to the Director, Medical Services, the role supports doctors, dentists and allied health professionals in ensuring delivery of services and compliance with organisational polices and relevant healthcare standards.
A Full-Time role working 5 days per week in office in Melbourne CBD, overseeing multiple locations across Victoria.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will:
- Participate and contribute as a valuable member of the Head Office Team.
- Assist the Director Medical Services with the management of meetings and functions (including scheduling, creation of agendas, taking of minutes, and monitoring of decisions-taken).
- Assist with preparation of reports, correspondence, forms and other documentation.
- Assist with onboarding, rostering and coordination of Medical Services staff as required.
- Undertake projects for the Director Medical Services, as requested from time to time.
- Liaise in a professional and positive manner with a wide range of internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Arrange travel schedules and reservations as required (ensuring that travel and expense arrangements comply with the GEO Travel & Expenses Corporate Policy – FA 1.04).
- Support and assist the day-to-day operation of the Medical Services Division.
- Support GEO Healthcare's efforts to maintain and improve its Quality, Safety, Environmental, Risk, Asset and Security Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, the Governance, Risk and Compliance Manual and the Code of Conduct.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Relevant experience in medical, healthcare or similar high-volume administrative environments with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage workflow.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
- Sound understanding of patient service, administrative workflows and compliance requirements in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to prepare agendas and take comprehensive, but succinct, minutes.
- Intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, to allow timely and accurate preparation of correspondence, reports and presentations.
- Cultural sensitivity and willingness to promote cultural awareness.
- Demonstrated commitment to GEO Healthcare values.
- Qualification in Administration, Business or Health (desirable but not essential).
Other Requirements of the role:
- Ability to work within a correctional setting, which may (at some point) involve direct contact with prisoners associated with the delivery of healthcare.
- Valid and current full Australian driver’s licence.
- Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required.
