Role Title: Production Coordinator (Night Shift - 10pm - 6am)
Contract: FTC - 12 Months
Reports to: Shift Production Lead & Head of Production

About the Job:
Support for the shift Production Lead in the coordination of people and processes to meet the production requirements as determined by the business and to support the supervision of the production operations on night shift for the Consumer business. This position ensures that production requirements are achieved safely, compliantly with quality systems and regulations, at the best cost.
The focus of this position will also include upskilling of operators, continuous improvement of processes, equipment, work practices, and systems and delivery of projects under the direction of the Team Leader for the area.
Priorities:
Safety and Environmental Management
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe working environment by;
- Fulfilling responsibilities in accordance with HSE regulations, policies and procedures
- Ensuring work practices comply with all HSE legislation, regulation and guidelines
- Assisting in carrying out relevant internal investigations to determine the root cause and corrective action for injuries/workplace hazards
- Participating in HSE meetings where required
- Ensuring production work areas are clean and tidy, and associated plant, tools and equipment are appropriately maintained
- Appropriate reporting and management of risks, including reporting of notifiable occurrences of environmental incidents
Leadership
- Provide leadership and effective management to staff by; Leading the shift in the absence of the Production Lead
- Supporting production through the effective use of data, analysis and problem-solving tools
- Working with the Production Lead to maintain a workforce management plan that incorporates staffing requirements, training and development, and succession planning
- Alongside the Production Lead, monitor and review the performance of the production teams
- Lead the shift in the absence of the Production Lead in all areas such as Safety, Quality, Conflict resolution, Production Output and corrective actions
- Help manage changes proactively and effectively
- Help manage resources to maximise business outcomes
- Nomination of employees for Reward and Recognition who have demonstrated exceptional performance
Financial Management
- Manage all financial aspects of the business unit by supporting the Production Lead in developing and implementing initiatives to reduce cost and maintaining the integrity of financial systems and other systems of data capture e.g. run sheets
Contract Management
- Support the management of contract labour used in production;
- Ensuring all contract employees are inducted and trained to Sanofi standards
- Ensuring that contractors adhere to all relevant policies and procedures
Continuous Improvement
- Effective support and leadership as required of the day to day production functions, improving productivity and reducing costs
- Completing projects as agreed with the Production Lead to effect an improved business result across the scorecard of Safety, quality, service and cost
Customer Service
- Contribute to the development of a customer focused production department, including the maintenance of good relationships with other functional areas by
- Developing strong relationships with key internal and external customers
- Maintaining open lines of communication on all matters raised by employees
- Attending to urgent matters as they arise
Quality Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal and regulatory quality systems by
- Ensuring that all work practices comply with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines
- Actively supporting and participating in the identification and implementation of strategies to improve site quality compliance
About You:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within FMCG, pharmaceutical, food or beverage industries.
- Experience leading or coordinating production teams, ideally in a shift-based environment.
- Strong understanding of GMP, quality systems, workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to use production data and problem-solving tools to improve performance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to motivate and support teams.
- Organised and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (SAP or similar is advantageous).
- Willing and able to work permanent night shift (10:00pm – 6:00am).
