Due to significant growth we are seeking a Metal Machinist to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
· Responsible for the project’s Solid Edge design engineering;
· Involving in the complete interaction with the functions dynamics and processes;
· Work on a range of programs design engineering solutions;
· Work on a range of engineering and project facilitation as necessary for delivery of the projects requirements;
· Responsible for the maintenance of all technical & engineering drawings using both 2D & 3D;
· Responsible for measurements on site to ensure the design will be in the specifications of the client’s needs;
· Project stage dependant, the design work will cover within the design project demands;
· Deliver detailed Solid Edge design proposal within the design project demands;
· Supporting other team members to deliver drawings on time;
· Probable involvement in project decisions;
· Ensure adherence of all specifications as well as the WHS act;
· Ensure accurate Inventor drawing to company standards and/or client’s standards;
· Responsible for design of parts to be machined;
· Responsible for programming of the designed part to be machined;
· Work on Feature Cam, Edge Cam for design and programming machines;
· Work on CNC lathes including , ISO programming;
· Responsible for tool setup and initial machining to ensure all parts are according to design;
· Responsible for measuring and recording sizes on all parts machined to be within the tolerance of the drawing specification;
Required skills:
· Minimum 2 years experience in the following:
o Edgecam solid part programming
o Edgecam tombstone manger programming
o Experience in machining hydraulic manifolds
· Minimum certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent
- Be able to effectively solve and resolve process issues as they arise
- Be efficient and effective in meeting daily production requirements
- Great time management skills
- The ability to effectively work within a team and unsupervised
- Be proactive in progressing continuous improvement ideas in the workplace
· Sound knowledge of Quality, WHS, EEO and Environmental policies, procedures and standards.
