Holistic In-Home Care is expanding into Victoria!
We are looking for a reliable, practical, and community-minded Handyman/Labourer to join our growing team as we establish our services in this new service area.
This is a great opportunity to get in early and be part of building our Victorian services, supporting older adults ageing in place and people with disability to live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
We are currently expanding around Mornington, Box Hill, Forest Hill and surrounding areas.
We are actively recruiting now and fast-tracking suitable applicants for these new expansion areas.
About the Role:
This is a casual role with flexible hours, ideal for someone who enjoys varied work, light gardening, and hands-on tasks while making a genuine difference in the community.
You will assist with minor home maintenance, basic repairs, gardening, and general labouring tasks in residential settings. All work is completed in occupied homes, so professionalism, patience, and respect are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Minor home maintenance and repairs (e.g. doors, handles, rails, fixtures)
- Basic carpentry and general labouring tasks
- Gardening services, including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, and basic yard tidy-ups
- Small outdoor maintenance tasks
- Furniture moving, basic assembly, and household assistance
- Assisting with safety-related modifications (non-licensed work only)
- Identifying hazards and reporting maintenance concerns
- Engaging respectfully with elderly clients and people with disability
About You:
- Practical, hands-on, and solutions-focused
- Comfortable working in private homes
- Patient, respectful, and good with people
- Able to work independently and follow instructions
- Takes pride in quality workmanship and reliability
- Able to provide and maintain your own tools and equipment
- Has a reliable vehicle for travelling between client homes
Essential Requirements:
- Previous handyman, maintenance, labouring or gardening experience
- Current driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle
- Own tools and equipment suitable for the work
- Ability to meet NDIS worker screening and compliance requirements
- Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Right to work in Australia
