About the role
As a Clinical Nurse within the Skin Integrity Service, you will provide advanced clinical nursing care for patients with complex wounds and skin integrity concerns across the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Working within a specialised multidisciplinary team, you will apply expert clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, while supporting optimal skin integrity outcomes.
This role combines advanced clinical practice with education, leadership and quality improvement activities. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive wound management plans, provide education to patients and staff, contribute to research and service improvement initiatives, and support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across the organisation.
About you

Provide advanced clinical nursing care and specialist expertise in skin integrity and wound management, including complex patient assessment, treatment planning and evaluation.
Support patients and families through education, guidance and evidence-based interventions that promote independence and improved health outcomes.
Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing and multidisciplinary colleagues in the management of complex skin integrity and wound care presentations.
Contribute to quality improvement, research and best practice initiatives that enhance patient care and service delivery across the Skin Integrity Service.
Promote a positive learning environment through mentoring, professional development activities and participation in clinical education and performance development initiatives.
