As demand for modular construction continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Designer with an architectural, building design or drafting background, to join our team in Adelaide.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Design Lead, you will be responsible for preparing concept and schematic designs for clients and tenders, building approval drawings, and production drawings. You will develop fully coordinated architectural documentation for buildings and sites, ensuring compliance with project requirements, client specifications, Australian Standards, and the National Construction Code (NCC).
Working closely with internal teams, consultants and clients, you will support projects from concept design through to manufacture, construction and handover.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Interpret and translate client briefs and specifications into detailed design documentation.
- Produce 3D models, plans, elevations, site layouts and building approval drawings using Autodesk Revit through to issue for construction drawings to as built drawing packages.
- Maintain drawing and safety in design (SID) registers and transmittals.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, National Construction Codes (NCC) and Ausco requirements.
- Coordinate consultant documentation to deliver fully integrated drawing packages.
- Support product inspections and project handovers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with quality, safety and governance requirements.
About You:
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Qualifications in Architecture, Building Design, Drafting or a related discipline (minimum Certificate IV or equivalent).
- Minimum 4 years' experience in architecture, building design or drafting within the construction industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and construction documentation drawings.
- Strong architectural documentation experience.
- Thorough understanding of building regulations, National Construction Codes and Australian Standards.
- Experience coordinating consultants and multidisciplinary project documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
