Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About The Role
The Governance, Planning and Intelligence department leads corporate strategy, policy and planning. The Senior Planning and Reporting Officer, within the team, supports strategic planning, investment processes, enterprise reporting and program assurance, with a focus on strengthening reporting capability and governance. The role also leads performance reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, Board and Victorian Government stakeholders.
Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Planning & Reporting, the role works within a small, collaborative team and partners across the organisation. It plays a key advisory role in guiding stakeholders to uplift reporting practices, with priorities including improving reporting frameworks, governance and alignment with strategic objectives.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Lead enterprise performance reporting for TZV, including coordination and delivery of high‑quality reports and insights for executive, Board and government stakeholders.
- Develop, implement and continuously improve reporting frameworks, governance processes and artefacts to strengthen organisational reporting capability.
- Coordinate enterprise outcomes reporting and support strategic investment processes, including annual reporting and budget alignment activities.
- Provide expert advice on data quality, analysis and reporting practices, driving evidence‑based decision making and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to enable effective collaboration, information sharing and uplift in reporting practices.
- Support a safe, compliant and values‑driven workplace by adhering to organisational policies, including security and workplace standards.
About You
This role requires a highly analytical and proactive professional with strong public sector reporting experience and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement skills, deliver high-quality outputs under pressure, and contribute positively to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Demonstrated experience in public sector performance reporting, including developing governance frameworks and materials for diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex qualitative and quantitative data and provide practical, evidence-based solutions.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality reports, briefings and advice with accuracy, clarity and insight.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and collaboratively, and meet tight timeframes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across government and building effective relationships.
- High levels of initiative, accountability and teamwork, with a commitment to continuous improvement and high performance.
