About the role:
The role combines program delivery of the Australian Teletrial Program (ATP), stakeholder engagement and business development to expand clinical trial access and grow activity across Victoria, with a focus on regional and rural participation.
You will identify and develop trial opportunities, working with sponsors, CROs, health services and research institutions to connect demand with site capability across Victoria.
You will also act as a central interface between industry and the Victorian clinical trials system, facilitating partnerships and supporting a sustainable pipeline of trials.

About you:
Can you demonstrate the following?
- Identify and develop clinical trial opportunities aligned with Victoria's strategic priorities and areas of capability.
- Engage with sponsors, CROs and research organisations to cultivate a sustainable pipeline of clinical trials, including long-term partnerships.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with strategic priorities including producing detailed project plans where objectives are defined, actions identified and approach for achieving the desired outcomes.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including health services, clinical investigators, research institutes, sponsors and industry partners.
- Experience in preparing high-level reports, briefings, and presentations for a variety of audiences.
- Take responsibility for technical development, operation, and maintenance of information management systems for clinical trials/teletrials and health and medical research and provide expert policy and strategic advice.
Qualifications / Specialist Expertise
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., public health, or health administration, clinical/medical research, clinical trials) and/or equivalent.
- Experienced clinical trial study coordinator with policy, regulatory and operations knowledge, especially in working with industry and CROs.
- Previous experience working in a clinical research and/or trials environment in the health and medical research sector is required.
- A strong understanding of the Victorian health system, and knowledge of the department and its operating processes and information systems is desirable.
