About the role
Deliver specialised clinical perfusion services within cardiothoracic surgery, supporting extracorporeal life support procedures. Contribute to safe, high-quality patient care while developing clinical expertise within a multidisciplinary critical care environment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide perfusion services, including management of extracorporeal circulation and life-support techniques, in line with clinical protocols and standards
Apply clinical judgement and problem-solving skills to support increasingly complex cases under supervision
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including surgical, anaesthetic, ICU, and cardiology staff
Contribute to research, service improvement, and development of perfusion practices
Support education activities and maintain operational readiness of equipment and clinical resources
