About The Role
Reporting to the Senior Engineer and working closely with senior developers and the wider engineering team, you will help develop machine vision and applied AI products from concept through to implementation and real-world application. The role will focus on computer vision algorithms, deep learning development, software architecture, embedded firmware, prototype testing, proof-of-concept work and technical documentation for industrial AI systems.
This position will offered as a full-time, permanent role and will be based in the office at Notting Hill.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the design, coding, testing and development of prototype and production platforms.
- Develop software and embedded device firmware for in-house products.
- Curate and annotate datasets and train AI models for performance
- Work across machine vision, deep learning and real-time deployment scenarios.
- Research new technologies, assess design options and contribute to proof-of-concept solutions.
- Use tools and technologies including Python, C/C++, Linux, PyTorch, OpenCV and PCL.
- Create clear documentation for code, testing, version control, design intent and usage.
About You
You are a graduate or early-career developer who enjoys solving technical problems across computer vision, applied AI and real-world systems.
- Degree qualified in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence or a related technical field.
- Experience or strong interest in custom computer vision algorithms, camera calibration, depth processing, or LiDAR.
- Experience working with Linux development environments.
- Programming experience in Python and C/C++.
- Hands on with PyTorch and deep learning development.
- Knowledge of OpenCV, PCL, CNN methods.
- Able to research, evaluate and present new ideas and applications.
- Strong problem-solving, analysis and communication skills.
