A Functions & Events Staff member helps plan, set up, and run events such as weddings, conferences, corporate functions, birthdays, and banquets. They usually work in hotels, restaurants, event venues, clubs, or catering companies.
Job Description
Typical responsibilities include:
- Setting up tables, chairs, decorations, and event equipment.
- Greeting guests and providing excellent customer service.
- Serving food and beverages during events.
- Clearing tables and keeping the venue clean and organized.
- Assisting with event setup and pack-down.
- Following food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Working with the event coordinator and kitchen staff to ensure the event runs smoothly.
- Handling guest requests professionally and resolving minor issues.
Pay: $4,500.00 – $6,500.00 per month
