In this role, you will be bringing together evidence and imagination to help create places and systems that are prosperous, resilient and just. Our Foresight, Impact & Strategy (FSI) division works at the intersection of public policy, research and strategy, supporting governments and organisations to make informed decisions that deliver measurable impact.
As a Consultant in our Impact team, you will contribute to research, evaluation projects and policy development. You will work across multiple policy areas such as education, social services and health, applying research and analytical skills to generate clear insights, support clients, and deliver high-quality outcomes as part of a collaborative national team.
As a Consultant within our Sydney Impact team, every day is different! You'll make a celebrated impact by:
- Conducting mix methods research, including interviews, data analysis, surveys and document reviews to inform policy research and evaluation
- Analysing and synthesising complex information and translating findings into clear, practical insights and recommendations for clients
- Preparing high-quality reports and project outputs, delivered on time and within budget
- Supporting client and stakeholder engagement, including participation in consultations, briefings and project meetings
- Contributing to project delivery and business development activities, including tenders, proposals, project coordination and internal reporting
About you.

- A tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) in public policy, social sciences or a related disciplines
- 3+ years' experience in policy, research or advisory roles, ideally within a multi project consultancy environment
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication and problem solving skills, with the ability to explain and interpret complex data and having intellectual curiosity
- Well developed organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a team
- A Police check clearance and employee level working with children check
- A collaborative mindset, to bring out the best in yourself and others while bringing new thinking to Urbis and our clients
- Passion for purpose-led work, and driving a positive legacy for our communities, clients and yourself
