Based in Melbourne’s CBD, this Paraplanner position supports the Advice team by producing Statements of Advice (SOAs) and strengthening the consistency and efficiency of the advice production process. If you enjoy structured work, working closely with advisers, and raising the bar on quality, you will fit well here.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Statements of Advice (SOAs) to a high standard of quality, compliance, and consistency
- Support strategy analysis including product cost comparisons and capital projections to strengthen advice documentation
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure all SOA production data in the CRM is kept precise and up to date
- Respond to SOA requests in a professional, timely manner and liaise with Advisers and Associate Advisers (AAs) where required
- Manage your own workload to meet internal timelines and client needs, including multitasking across competing requests
- Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting changes to systems and procedures that improve efficiency and effectiveness within the team
Requirements
- Strong written communication and exceptional attention to detail, with a track record of accurate documentation
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience using Xplan CRM (or strong capability to quickly develop with it)
- A relevant industry qualification is highly valued (for example a Diploma of Financial Planning or a degree in Business, Economics, or Commerce)
- Solid understanding of Financial Planning and Investment Management concepts, including managed accounts, platforms, superannuation, and investments
- Working knowledge of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs)
- Confidence handling confidential client and financial information with the highest ethical standards
