Female Disability Support Workers Wanted – Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Assist Lifestyle is seeking caring, reliable and experienced Female Disability Support Workers to join our new Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Palmview (Harmony Estate) on the Sunshine Coast.
This is an exciting opportunity to support two young women in their 20s living with Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Mental Health complexities in a modern, fully furnished home with swimming pool.
About the Support Worker Role
You will support participants to:
- Build independence and daily living skills
- Participate in community activities
- Attend appointments and social outings
- Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
- Support emotional wellbeing and positive routines
- Implement behaviour support strategies in accordance with individual plans
- Assisting with medications
Available Shifts
We are currently seeking workers interested in:
✅ Morning shifts 6 am -10 am and sleepover overnight shift 10.00 pm-6.00 am
✅ Day shifts 10.00 am - 6.00 pm
✅ Evening shifts 6.00 pm -10.00 pm and sleepover shift 10.00 pm - 6.00 am
✅ Sleepover shifts 10.00 pm - 6.00 am and morning or evening shift
✅ Weekday and weekend work

Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Orientation and Induction Modules
- Strong communication skills
- Experience supporting people with disability, autism, psychosocial disability or complex behaviours is highly regarded
- Certificate 3 in Individual support or Age Care
Desirable
- Experience in SIL, ILO or mental health support
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Medication administration experience
