With significant growth in recent years, this forward-thinking organization offers comprehensive forwarding and global logistics solutions. They currently have an opportunity for an experienced export operator that understands the process from registration right through to delivery and invoicing.
The Role:
As an Export Freight Operator, you will oversee air and sea cargo movements, managing a diverse portfolio of customers engaged in global exports. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day air and sea shipments, including FCL, LCL, shipments.
- Building strong relationships with customers by addressing inquiries and providing exceptional service.
- Creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with customer KPIs and expectations.
- Supporting the sales team with invoicing, costing, and onboarding new business initiatives.
- Collaborating with team members to foster a supportive and harmonious work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- ESSENTIAL! -At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar position with a local freight forwarder. (ocean export focused)
- Proficiency in CargoWise (advantage).
- Proven ability to manage customer expectations and communicate effectively with external stakeholders, including agents and carriers.
Workplace Arrangements:
This role will require you to work from the majority of the time with 1 day per fortnight spent working from home.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
