The City of Sydney is seeking a qualified Greenkeeper to join our dedicated team responsible for the care and maintenance of over 400 parks, gardens, sporting fields and 97 hectares of open spaces.
You'll supervise and mentor crew members and apprentices to deliver best practice horticultural (turf) and landscape services to the community. You'll also complete work in an effective, efficient and safe manner, in line with our Safe Work Procedures and other service specifications.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Horticulture Certificate III in Greenkeeping or Tertiary and Graduate qualifications in related discipline
- current NSW recognised Drivers Licence and be willing to obtain an MR Class (min) licence
- ability to plan and execute horticultural (including turf cricket wickets) work tasks, including chemical application
- demonstrated communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with staff, peers and the general public.
This role has the option of a team based flexible working arrangement, known as a 9-day fornight.
