About the role:
As Foreperson, you will play a key leadership role within the workshop, supporting technicians and apprentices while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Working closely with the Service Manager, you will help coordinate workshop activities, provide technical guidance, and support the development of your team.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Supporting the allocation of jobs and workshop resources

Providing technical guidance and assistance to technicians and apprentices

Assisting with diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues

Reviewing repair orders for accuracy and completeness

Coordinating technician training and skills development

Supporting workshop safety initiatives and team performance

Maintaining and managing workshop tooling and equipment

Assisting with customer concerns and service-related enquiries

Acting in a leadership capacity when the Service Manager is absent
About you:

- Trade qualification and at least 3 years' experience as a Service Technician

Strong technical and diagnostic abilities

Leadership skills and a desire to mentor and develop others

Experience working with agricultural, construction, or heavy equipment

Strong communication and organisational skills

Ability to work collaboratively and lead by example

Experience with John Deere products is advantageous

Forklift licence preferred
