We are partnering with a globally recognised fashion business to recruit a Junior Designer / Product Developer to join their growing Womenswear team here in Melbourne.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about fashion, highly detail-oriented, and eager to gain hands-on exposure across the full product lifecycle within a fast-paced, trend-driven environment.
Working closely with Buying and Merchandising, you’ll play a key role in bringing commercially relevant, customer-focused product to life — from concept through to production.
The Role
- Support the design and development of womenswear collections aligned to trend and customer demand
- Assist with trend research, mood boards, and concept direction
- Work cross-functionally with Buying and Merch teams to deliver cohesive ranges
- Contribute to fabric selection, fit development, and garment construction
- Assist in managing the critical path from concept through to production
- Maintain accurate documentation including tech packs, specs, and product updates
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timelines are met
About You
- A genuine passion for womenswear and emerging trends
- Strong attention to detail across both design and development
- Foundational understanding of fabrics, fit, and garment construction (or strong willingness to learn)
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
