Digital Canberra is seeking a high-performing and motivated Director, Government Business and Intergovernmental Relations. This role sits within the Ministerial and Government Services Branch and is responsible for coordinating key government business functions on behalf of the Directorate, including ministerial and executive briefing processes, whole-of-government reporting, intergovernmental relations and privacy obligations. Working closely with executives, central agencies, Ministerial Offices and stakeholders across government, the Director provides strategic and operational advice on complex and sensitive matters while delivering high-quality outcomes within often competing priorities and tight timeframes.
The Government Business and Intergovernmental Relations Team is responsible for leading government business responsibilities on behalf of the directorate in collaboration with other corporate and policy teams. This includes intergovernmental relations responsibilities, privacy management, Open Access and Freedom of Information, and related policy management guidance. The Director is responsible for providing leadership across government business, intergovernmental relations and privacy functions, while delivering a high level of client service to executives and business areas. The role supports strategic engagement and the provision of advice across Digital Canberra, ACT Government agencies, Ministerial Offices, central agencies and other jurisdictions.

Current Baseline security clearance issued by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) or ability to obtain and hold an AGSVA Baseline security clearance.
