The role
Moe & Co Chermside, owned and operated by M & C Chermside Pty Ltd, is seeking an experienced and motivated Barber to join our team at Westfield Chermside.
Moe & Co Chermside is a vibrant, family-friendly salon offering cuts, colour and styling for all ages. Our Chermside location is a walk-in friendly destination with a lively atmosphere, a dedicated team of barbers and stylists, and a commitment to making every client feel welcome.
We are looking for a Barber who takes pride in their technical skills, connects easily with clients of all ages, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy salon environment.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Greet and consult with clients to understand their style goals and recommend the most suitable cut or grooming service
- Perform a wide variety of men’s haircuts using clippers, scissors and razor techniques, including fades, tapers, crops and classic cuts
- Shape and groom beards and moustaches, including precision line-ups, trimming and straight razor finishing
- Wash and prepare hair and scalp prior to cutting or treatment as part of the service
- Select and apply finishing products to style and complete each service to a high standard
- Provide personalised recommendations on grooming products and home care routines tailored to each client
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation and ensure all tools and equipment are sterilised between clients
- Deliver friendly, attentive service to every client and contribute to a welcoming salon atmosphere
- Work cooperatively with barbers and stylists across the team to support smooth daily salon operations
Qualifications & experience
- At least 2 years of experience in barbering or hairdressing in a commercial salon or barbershop
- Australian trade qualification (Certificate III or higher in Barbering/Hairdressing) or overseas equivalent
- Competent across a broad range of men’s haircut styles and barbering techniques
- Warm, approachable manner with the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages
- Punctual, dependable and able to perform consistently in a high-volume walk-in environment
- A genuine interest in the craft with a willingness to keep developing skills
