Due to new initiatives and staff movements, Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Hospitals have multiple Occupational Therapy positions on the horizon and are seeking OTs to join our well-established services.
What is our Occupational Therapist role?
In this role you will provide assessment, intervention and discharge planning to hospital patients. You will expand your knowledge and skills by participating in supervision, performance development and continuing professional development.
At Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) and Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) we support junior Occupational Therapists to develop a wide range of clinical skills with rotations across our acute and rehabilitation hospitals. The rotations we offer include: Neurology (stroke), Neurosurgery (spinal and brain surgery), Orthopaedics, Surgical, General Medicine,Hand Therapy, Home Visiting, Geriatric Acute & Rehabilitation Medicine (GARM), Stroke Rehab, Parkinson’s Clinic, Rehabilitation Medicine/Young Adult Rehab, Day Therapy, leave cover and Weekends.
If you are an experienced P1 looking to advance your skills we offer our Occupational Therapists a range of professional practice experience. You will develop skills in quality improvement, supervision, evidence-based practice, research, teamwork and communication. There are opportunities for advancement to P2 positions.
