About the Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Demi Chef / Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team at Stamford Plaza Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and the other members of the Kitchen with the food production whilst ensuring quality, consistency, productivity and high standards at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing mise-en-place for your designated work station to ensure the smooth running of service
Prepare all food items in accordance with standard recipes
Check food rotation to ensure freshness of all food products
Adhering to the Hotel policies and procedures
Meet all health and hygiene requirements and cleanliness
Ensuring a seamless Guest experience through prompt and efficient food service
Maintain appropriate par stock levels to support daily operations
Skills and Experience
An Australian recognised Trade or relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery
Previous experience of at least one year in a similar role
The ability to work in a fast paced kitchen
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Team Player
Ability to work on rotating shifts across 7 days
A proactive approach to system improvements
Knowledge of HACCP and relevant food safety accreditation
