Paediatric Occupational Therapist (Part Time / Full Time)

In collaboration with Baby Steps Health Centre within an established network of paediatricians, developmental GPs, psychologists, speech pathologists and multiple allied health specialists, Capacity Builders WA offers an integrated and contemporary approach to therapy, enhancing wellbeing, participation and self-competence with children, their families and their supportive networks.

About Baby Steps Health Centre
We are a multidisciplinary clinic offering a holistic, collaborative approach to child and family healthcare. Located in Subiaco, the clinic brings together a range of health professionals, including paediatricians, psychologists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, and more, to provide comprehensive care. As part of this multidisciplinary team and network, you will work in a supportive, professional environment designed to enhance your ability to deliver the highest standard of care to the children and families you work with.
The Role
We are seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis, with a commitment of at least 4 days per week. This role offers the opportunity to work both in-clinic at Baby Steps Health Centre and within the community, providing comprehensive support to children and families in their home, school, and community environments. As part of a collaborative and dynamic team, you will contribute to providing outstanding outcomes for the children and families we support.
Primary Areas of Practice
- Children aged 2-18 years
- Pre-diagnostic consultations and problem-solving
- Behavioural support and responses to unmet needs
- Sensory processing challenges
- Emotional regulation, including anxiety and psychosocial difficulties
- Social skills development
- Family and social support
- Home, school, and community visits
- NDIS application assessment and report writing

Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in paediatrics (We’re flexible on the 2 years experience requirement as long as the applicant demonstrates the right mindset and willingness to learn.)
- AHPRA registration
- Working with Children Check
- Police clearance
- A reflective, creative, and family-centred approach to therapy
- Access to transport for community visits
