About Foxleigh Mine:
Foxleigh Mine is an established open-cut coal operation located in Queensland's Bowen Basin, approximately 15 kilometres south of Middlemount and 275 kilometres northwest of Rockhampton. Since commencing operations in 1999, Foxleigh has built a strong reputation for producing premium low volatile PCI metallurgical coal, a key ingredient in steel manufacturing supplied to customers around the world.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated HR Advisor to join our People & Engagement team.
This is a great opportunity for a capable HR professional who is ready to step into a hands-on advisory role within a dynamic mining environment. Reporting to the People & Engagement Manager, you will provide practical HR support to leaders and employees across site, with a focus on employee relations, recruitment, workforce planning, HR processes and day-to-day leader support.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys being close to the operation, building strong relationships with leaders and employees, and providing balanced, practical advice that helps the business move forward.
The opportunity:
As HR Advisor, you will support a broad range of people-related activities across the site, including:

providing HR advice and support to supervisors, superintendents and department leaders

supporting employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, absenteeism, grievances and investigations

assisting with recruitment, onboarding and employee movements
-
preparing employment documentation, correspondence and HR reports
-
supporting workforce planning and change management activities

assisting with HR projects, policy implementation and process improvement

maintaining accurate HR records and employee data
-
promoting a positive, respectful and engaged workplace culture
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

previous experience in an HR Officer, HR Coordinator, HR Advisor or similar role

sound understanding of HR processes, employment documentation and employee lifecycle activities
-
experience supporting employee relations or performance management matters
-
strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy operational environment
-
high attention to detail and strong record-keeping capability
-
confidence working with leaders and employees at all levels
-
discretion, professionalism and sound judgement when handling confidential matters
Experience in mining, heavy industry, construction, logistics or another operational environment will be highly regarded.
