As a SIL Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our participants (maximum 30 participants) receive high-quality care, with a focus on timely access to healthcare services and support throughout their treatment. Company car will be provided since regular weekly travel to the northwest region (Epping, etc.) is a requirement. Job is based in our Cranbourne West (main office).
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily operations across several ALC Houses offering SIL services - this includes SIL inspections/assessments and documentation.
- Provide after-hours on-call support (both weekdays and weekends) and conduct weekly home visits to ALC Houses.
- Ensure that Support Worker care notes are updated regularly.
- Organise and facilitate regular family meetings to address concerns, complaints and feedback.
- Ensure that care aligns with NDIS practice standards and quality.
- Coordinate care for participants, including scheduling appointments.
- Follow-up incident reports promptly and establish the protocols on incident reporting, investigation and resolution
- Manage medication administration and monitoring.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to improve participant care.
- Advocating for participants' rights and needs and working to address any issues that may arise.
- Working in partnership with a diverse group of professionals to deliver seamless and well-rounded care to clients.
- Participating in continuing education and training opportunities to maintain knowledge and skills.
- Drive performance review and staff development plans, especially for the House Leaders.
Requirements:
- Diploma of Nursing (Endorsed Nurse - EN Div. 2) is essential - Registered Nurse (RN - Div. 1) will be viewed favourably
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably handling SIL houses - those with background as a Support Coordinator will be viewed favourably
- Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and Quality
- Knowledge of healthcare services and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and community resources is desirable
