WHAT WE OFFER
THE OPPORTUNITY
Downer's Energy & Utilities business is seeking casual Special Class Welders to provide outage services at Bayswater Power Station in Muswellbrook, NSW. Starting in early September , Downer will offer mechanical and project services throughout the outage period. As a Special Class Welder, you will apply your expertise in piping setup, structural and welding fabrication, and boiler casings, ensuring that all work is completed safely, effectively, and to the required standards.
ABOUT YOU
- Trade Qualified: Hold a Welding trade qualification with proven experience on power station projects and/or shutdowns
- Technically Proficient: Must be able to pass an X-ray weld test on the boiler tube prior to commencing on-site
Team Oriented: Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills and a commitment to safety.
Site Qualifications: Hold full working rights in Australia, White Card, Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets (within 3 years validity). Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical.
