About the business/role/team
This role sits within the Line 1 Risk team in IT and is responsible for leading a small team of control testing specialists, with additional support available through external partners. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technology Risk and Compliance, you will work closely with leaders across the Technology Project Risk, Technology Controls Testing and Cyber Risk and Compliance teams, and with the IT Senior Leadership Team, and stakeholders across the broader organisation.
In this role, you will provide trusted advice and oversight on the effectiveness of Technology controls, helping business areas identify, manage and mitigate technology risks while strengthening the organisation’s overall risk and compliance capability.
About the role
Lead and coordinate Technology control testing activities in line with the Risk and Compliance Management Framework.
Develop and embed an automated approach to Technology control assurance, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with Line 2 Risk to identify and implement improvements to Technology control testing practices.
Support the Senior Manager, Technology Risk and Compliance in managing Technology risk governance forums and reporting activities.
Lead and develop a Technology control testing professional, manage external service providers as required, and work closely with the Technology Risk Advisory team to deliver control testing activities.
About you
You are a collaborative and influential data science professional with strong technical expertise, with a sound knowledge of risk management and technology controls and the ability to build trusted relationships across a broad stakeholder group.
You will bring:
Extensive experience in Technology control testing, including the design and implementation of automated control assurance techniques.
Extensive experience in data acquisition, analytics and visualisation.
A proven ability to translate control objectives into automated tests and continuous monitoring.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with experience influencing outcomes at senior levels.
Proven leadership capabilities, with the ability to coach, develop and inspire high-performing teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate risk, compliance and control-related insights.
