About us:
Our ward is a 30-bed acute medical ward that services a complex patient group comprising of three chronic diseases, Renal, Respiratory and Gastroenterology.
The ward functions to a high standard clinically and professionally while continuing to implement quality improvements for the benefit of both staff and patients.
Our patient population includes those with a variety of conditions including but not limited to; COPD, Asthma, CKD, Diabetes, CCF, Cystic Fibrosis, Tuberculosis, Liver Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Diabetes and Cancer.
All RNs in our team will work towards the skills necessary to care for these disease groups.
About your role:
Management of Intercostal Catheters
Respiratory support including Non-invasive ventilation and High flow nasal prongs
Paracentesis with Albumin replacement
Management of central lines (PICC and Ports)
Cannulation and phlebotomy
Administration of blood products
Management of patient having Peritoneal Dialysis
