Senior Property Officer – Real Estate – NSW Trustee and Guardian

Location: Parramatta. Flexible and hybrid working options available.
Clerk Grade: Level 5/6. Base salary $102,936 p.a. to $113,579 p.a. plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading

The agency supports the NSW Trustee, the Public Guardian and the Commissioner of Dormant Funds to carry out their statutory functions. We do this by providing a range of customer-centred services, including Will-making, trustee, financial management and guardianship services, including some for the state’s most vulnerable people.
We support over 50,000 customers annually and manage almost seven billion dollars in customer assets. A NSW government agency within the Communities and Justice Portfolio, our services help support and protect people at critical moments in their lives.

About the team
Financial Performance and Investments Division comprises teams supporting the financial and investment needs of our clients as well as maintaining, enhancing, and protecting their assets. These services cover the management of properties, shares, investments, and other personal assets; the processing of customer and third-party payments and receipts; the handling of a range of taxation matters; developing financial plans and budgets to support our customers; and providing corporate frameworks, tools and services for Procurement, Project Management Governance, and Budgeting and Reporting to the organisation.
About the role
This role manages high-volume and complex real estate matters for NSW Trustee and Guardian customers, including property sales, leasing and rentals. You will work with customers, families, service providers and colleagues to make informed property decisions, manage caseloads and deliver timely, customer-centred outcomes. The role may also involve attending property auctions and travelling within NSW.
Day to day, you will:
Manage complex real estate transactions, caseloads and property-related financial decisions.
Engage with customers, families and stakeholders to support informed decisions and positive outcomes.
Contribute to quality service delivery through the phone roster, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Attend property auctions and travel within NSW as required.

About you

Tertiary qualifications or equivalent real estate experience, including property sales, leasing or NSW conveyancing.
Ability to manage complex, high-volume property matters.
Strong customer service, including with vulnerable customers.
Clear communication with customers and stakeholders.
Ability to support colleagues with complex cases.
Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
Sound ethics, confidentiality and compliance awareness.
Confidence using systems and improving processes.
