Our client is an established Australian heavy equipment component specialist, rebuilding the big iron that keeps mining and earthmoving operations running. With a new contract secured and their Perth workshop ramping up, we are looking for two skilled Component Rebuilders to join the team in Welshpool.
This is where machines come back to life. You will strip down, assess, rebuild and reassemble major mining components to OEM standard, in a clean, modern, well-equipped workshop alongside a crew that takes real pride in the work.
What is on offer:
- Permanent, full-time. 4 on, 3 off roster, 12-hour days, 6am to 6pm. A three-day weekend, every single week. No FIFO.
- Rotating Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, swapping every six months.
- $59.62 per hour standard, with optional overtime at a fixed $76.00 per hour if you choose to work a day off.
- 190 hours annual leave plus 10 days personal leave.
- A ground-floor role in a growing WA branch of a well-backed national business.
- A genuine workmanship culture. Real people, real solutions, no ego, no drama.
What you will bring:
- Hands-on Caterpillar or Komatsu transmission rebuild experience. This one is essential.
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter.
- Proven component rebuild background in mining, construction or heavy industry.
- Solid knowledge of drivetrains, hydraulics and rotating equipment, with precision tooling skills.
- Pride in quality workmanship and a safety-first approach.
Desirable: exposure to final drives, torque converters and pumps, overhead crane or forklift tickets, and experience in a structured component rebuild workshop.
If you know CAT and Komatsu transmissions inside out and want a permanent workshop role with a three-day weekend every week, we want to hear from you.
