ABOUT THE POSITION

TLEA is welcoming applications for a full time, Max term Senior Designer Electrical & Instrumentation to join our team working at our Kwinana plant.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing owner-side drafting support by preparing, revising and maintaining electrical, instrumentation and control system drawings and associated documentation for refinery operations, plant modifications and capital projects as required. The role requires strong electrical and instrumentation design and drafting knowledge to independently interpret approved engineering inputs, vendor information and site conditions, identify and resolve drawing and interface issues, and maintain clear, coordinated and reliable master and as-built engineering drawings.
In addition to possessing our core values of distinction, pragmatism, honesty, tenacity and innovation, this position will suit an individual with prior experience of E&I design, preferably within Brownfields Environments and Operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide owner-side electrical and instrumentation drafting support for refinery operations, plant modifications and capital projects as required.
Prepare, revise and maintain electrical, instrumentation and control system drawings using AutoCAD and other nominated design systems.
Incorporate approved engineering mark-ups, vendor information, site redlines and as-built information into controlled drawings and documents.
Conduct site verification as required to confirm existing equipment, cable routes, instrument locations and installation details.
Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies, missing information and interface issues in coordination with the relevant engineer.
Coordinate E&I drawings with process, mechanical, piping, civil and structural information where required.
Prepare, update and coordinate E&I layouts within multidisciplinary 3D plant models and support model integration and clash/interface reviews.
Check drawings and associated documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance with drafting and document control requirements.
Provide practical drafting and design guidance to other team members where required.
Support the preparation and maintenance of accurate master and as-built engineering drawings and ensure work is undertaken in accordance with applicable site procedures, drafting standards and safety requirements.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING
Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Engineering Drafting or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
Minimum 7 years’ relevant E&I drafting or design experience within an industrial, processing, mining, chemical, energy or heavy industry environment.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, with demonstrated experience preparing, revising and maintaining electrical and instrumentation engineering drawings.
Strong ability to interpret engineering mark-ups, P&IDs, vendor drawings, equipment information and existing plant drawings, and incorporate site verification information into master and as-built drawings.
Strong working knowledge of electrical and instrumentation drawings, including single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable drawings, loop diagrams and instrument installation details.
Demonstrated experience supporting brownfield modifications and reviewing, federating and coordinating multidisciplinary 3D plant models, including the integration of E&I model information and identification of clashes or interface issues; proficiency in Navisworks or similar software is required.

TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
