Support Worker – NDIS Client (Nursing Background Preferred) – Thomastown.

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and outgoing Support Worker to provide in-home support to a lovely NDIS client in Thomastown. This role would suit someone with a nursing background or strong clinical support experience, who is confident with medical equipment and personal care.
Due to the personal care needs of our client and at the client's request, this role is open to female applicants only, under the relevant exemptions in equal opportunity legislation relating to personal care services.
Hours
Weekdays: 5:00pm – 8:00pm (3 hours/day)
Saturdays: 9:00am – 12:00pm (3 hours)
6 days per week, 18 hours total
Engagement on an ABN subcontractor basis (applicant must hold a current ABN)
Key Responsibilities
Administering medication as prescribed
Monitoring blood pressure
Assisting with CPAP machine use
Supporting personal care activities, including showering and hygiene assistance
Assisting with community access and outings
Basic pet care (feeding and light cleaning up after a dog on the property)
General support with daily living activities.
About You
Must hold a current ABN
Nursing qualification or prior nursing/clinical support experience highly regarded
Reliable and punctual, with strong time-management skills
Excellent communication skills
Outgoing, warm, and patient nature
Comfortable with personal care duties
Comfortable around pets (dog on premises)
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
First Aid/CPR certification (preferred)
Valid driver's licence (if community access requires transport).
