About the Opportunity
As the Volunteer Coordinator – Palliative Care you will play a key role in building and supporting a compassionate volunteer workforce across the District. You will coordinate volunteers who provide emotional, social and practical support to people with life-limiting illness and their families, helping enhance care and strengthen community connections.
As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will:

Recruit, onboard and coordinate palliative care volunteers across MLHD
-
Support volunteers through orientation, training and ongoing guidance
-
Manage volunteer rostering and allocation across services
-
Foster strong relationships with patients, families, staff and volunteers
-
Provide education and peer support opportunities for volunteers

Ensure compliance with relevant policies and safe work practices
-
Contribute to research, evaluation and continuous improvement activities

About You
