What you'll be doing
An exciting opportunity currently exists to join a progressive and innovative team within our NSLHD Population Health Promotion service. This position offers flexible working conditions and the chance to contribute to a diverse range of projects that support the health and wellbeing of our population.

This position is based in the Early Years program team, with the possibility of working across other program areas as needed.
As a Health Promotion Officer in the Early Years team, you will support early childhood education and care services across Northern Sydney Local Health District to implement the Healthy Children’s Initiative.
Working as part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative healthy eating and physical activity initiatives. This includes providing tailored support to services, building workforce capability, and using evidence and research to inform best practice approaches that improve health outcomes for young children.
You will play a key role in engaging stakeholders, translating research into practical strategies, and delivering creative, evidence-based resources that make a real difference in early childhood settings.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and relevant experience in health promotion, public health, education, community development, health sciences, sociology or other related discipline.
- Proven project management capabilities including planning, implementation and evaluation of health promotion initiatives at a population level.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships across diverse sectors and communities.
- Highly developed communication skills, including digital literacy, interpersonal, written and verbal abilities with demonstrated competence in negotiation, presentation delivery and report.
- Current NSW Driver's License.
